Remote Meetings

In a recent survey, 2 out of 3 people still prefer to use a physical whiteboard to explain ideas and brainstorm together. However, remote meetings make it hard to use a whiteboard with weird webcam angles, blurred images, and peers in the way.

See how Boardit solves those issues for most remote-first or hybrid teams.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What if I don't have a projector?

In order to have the One-board experience when you join with a physical whiteboard, a projector is required to merge the other participant's content to your board, in real-time. Without a projector, you can still stream your whiteboard content to the other participant, and the experience is less interactive, but still provides all participants with a digitalized version of your whiteboard - a clear and focus view.

What if I have more than 2 participants for a session?

The Boardit Free-Tier only supports 2 participants per room today. You can contact us to discuss about your organization's need where more than 2 participants will use the app on a monthly basis. Limited-time offer: we have some surprise for you if you become one of our early business / education users.

Is Boardit app secure to use?

Of course! Boardit Free-Tier was carefully designed in a way that the app doesn't store any content from your session, and you can only invite authorized participant to join your room. For how Boardit handles your data, please learn more at the Privacy Policy.

What does Boardit app actually do?

Boardit app is designed for users who reside in different locations but prefer to use big surfaces to share any ideas. Such innovative remote collaboration style prevents eye strains from small digitial screens, and still enables the users to interact with One-board experience as if they are in the same conference room or classroom. Boardit app identifies and digitizes written content on a light surface (ideally, a whiteboard) in real-time. The captured content is streamed to other participants within the app securely for better viewing experience - no blurry view and no obstacles. Even better, users can keep a record of the streamed content at any time, and download later.

Is there a different way to enjoy the One-board experience other than using a whiteboard?

Boardit app gives you the convinence to draw on a canvas in the room page, where your content is streamed and can be projected on the other participant's whiteboard. The capability to draw on the cavnas digitally is a great way to make annotation when you prefer to use your computer screen, instead of a whiteboard, for that session.

Do I have to download Boardit app or it's directly available through a web browser?

Boardit app is web-based, which means you can simply access it with a link. Currently, Boardit app only works with Chorme and Microsoft Edge, on your laptop or desktop. We are working on the mobile devices support to ensure you can enjoy the remote collaboration with more flexibility anywhere.

What if I don't have a separate webcam?

If your computer has a back webcam, you can just make it face the board, and make sure to select the back webcam in the browser settings before/during setup. If your computer only has a front webcam, you can still point it towards the sharing area. However, it might be tricky for you to select the 4 corners of the sharing area, as you have to avoid blocking the board during setup.

Can I adjust the digital canvas size on the room / shareboard page?

Boardit's current digital canvas on the room page and shareboard page are limited to 800x600 (4:3), which is for the consistent One-board experience when projecting content to your whiteboard. Your feedback is very important to us, and if you have any requirement about the digital canvas size, please feel free to contact us.

Can I change the color of the digitalized content?

If you join with the digital canvas, and draw on the digital canvas directly, the color selection is default to black. If you join with a physical whiteboard, the color of the digitalized content is reflected as black or dark-grey on the digital canvas.
